4 Steps To Better Pet Organization

4 Steps to Better Pet Organization

Your pet is part of your family, and it shows. They seem to have every toy under the sun and more collars and leashes than you have jewelry. Throwing everything into a bin probably doesn’t work for you, so we have some pet organizing solutions for when you (or your furry friend) needs something in a hurry.

Step 1: De-clutter

You don’t need that collar your dog has outgrown or those ratty toys that never get played with anymore. While you’re at it, get rid of those stale treats you bought a few months back, and check your backyard for the fossilized remains of old tennis balls. A crazy number of toys is unnecessary and more than likely a majority go ignored, try to cut down to about 5-10 that your pet plays with the most. A bin or basket tucked in an area that is easily accessible to both you and your pet is the perfect place to store them.

Step 2: Treat Their Treats

Pet food bags and treat boxes can look unsightly and aren’t the most durable if your pet decides to be a little naughty when you aren’t looking. The best solution is to buy food storage containers in either glass or plastic. They’ll look so much better and keep their food fresh, because if you don’t like stale food, neither does your pet.

Step 3: Set Up a Walking Station

Walking your dog is not always hassle-free, but a walking station can add much needed convenience. It’s best to keep leashes on a hook by the door for easy access and hang up a towel so that you always are ready to wipe muddy paws. A little bucket on a shelf can hold doggy bags and a lint roller to remove unwanted pet hair on your clothes before you head out for the day.

Step 4: Grooming Made Easy

If we’re being honest, your dog will most likely never like his baths, but you can make things easier for yourself by keeping all of their grooming supplies in a convenient place. We suggest putting their shampoo, scrubber, and brush in a portable shower caddy that can easily be taken outside or placed by the tub. You can then conceal it under the sink when not in use.

Now that your pet supplies are organized, you can contact Home Clean Heroes to tackle any unwanted messes left behind so you can enjoy more time with your furry friend.
