October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, is a very important month for Home Clean Heroes. So many of us are or have been personally affected by breast cancer, and as cleaning experts, we wanted to share our knowledge on how to best care for your loved ones. Often times, a patient undergoing cancer treatment will have a compromised immune system, which is why it is so important to take precautions to help reduce exposure to germs.\u00a0One of the most effective ways to reduce germs is by ensuring that everyone in the home washes their hands with warm water and soap, especially prior to coming into contact with the patient.\u00a0This holds true for visitors as well.\u00a0Gel hand sanitizers can be used when access to soap and water is not convenient. Washing your hands and using hand sanitizer should be second nature by now to prevent the spread of COVID, so this should be an easy practice to put into place.<\/p>\n
